The OSRAM Powertronic PTi electronic ballasts (220-240V) are designed to power metal halide lamps (CDM, HCI, CMH) from 35W to 150W at a high frequency, offering fast start-up, stable luminous flux and extended lamp lifespan compared to a traditional magnetic ballast. This gain in lamp lifespan largely offsets the initial extra cost of the electronic ballast compared to a magnetic ballast.
