A solar lantern in metal with an openwork foliage pattern, with handle

This Modee solar LED lantern, in metal with an openwork foliage pattern, with a handle and 16.5 cm tall, stands on a table, a low wall or a step, or hangs from a branch or a pergola hook. In the evening, it casts a play of light and shadow on its surroundings that no spotlight can offer.

How it works

It needs no socket and no wiring. By day its solar panel recharges the battery; in the evening it switches on by itself as the light fades. The battery is a rechargeable AA Ni-MH cell, included: it is easy to replace once it wears out.

What kind of light?

Its warm white light, close to that of a candle or a lantern, creates a soft mood without spoiling the look of the garden.

Positioning

For good runtime, place it in full sun, with the panel free of any shade. In winter or under an overcast sky the lighting time is shorter: this is normal. Protected against rain and splashing water (IP44), it can stay outdoors all season. A switch lets you turn it off, for winter storage for example.
