The GE CMH PAR30 70 W discharge lamp (PAR30 reflector) is a GE ConstantColor ceramic metal-halide lamp with stable colour and high colour rendering. It emits warm white light at 3,000 K (IRC 85) and about 6,600 lumens, with excellent colour stability.
It runs on suitable discharge control gear (ballast + ignitor) matched exactly to its wattage (70 W) and type: it never connects directly to the mains. Its outer envelope screens UV (UVC), concentrating light into a 10° beam. Warm-up takes 2–3 min; after switch-off, let it cool for a few minutes before restrike.
