Product Details

The GE EKE halogen lamp (ANSI code EKE) is a projection/optical lamp with a dichroic MR16 reflector (Ø51 mm, GX5.3 base). It delivers a bright white beam at 3250 K with near-perfect colour rendering (CRI ~100), designed for precision optics.

Powered at 21 V by the equipment's built-in transformer (microscopes, medical and dental lights, fibre optic illuminators and 8 mm projectors), it is not an ordinary 12 V lamp: use it only in the device rated for this voltage. Its dichroic "cold-light" reflector throws light forward and lets heat pass to the rear, protecting slides and specimens.

21 V, supplied by the device's built-in transformer/power supply (projector, microscope, illuminator). It is not a 12 V lamp: do not connect it to a standard 12 V halogen transformer.

What does the dichroic reflector do?
