The E14 25 W tubular bulb is a small-format incandescent lamp: a tungsten filament in an envelope measuring just Ø 26 × 57 mm, on an E14 screw cap. It is the lamp for appliances where space runs out — cooker hood, sewing machine, refrigerated display case, illuminated sign, night light — wherever a conventionally shaped bulb simply will not fit.

Clear glass leaves the filament in plain sight: the light is bright, point-like, and draws crisp shadows. That is exactly what you want in a sign, a display case or a decorative fitting with an exposed filament, where the lamp itself is part of the look.

Its strength is not efficiency — incandescence never shone there — but everything else: CRI 100, meaning colours rendered exactly, instant full output, flawless dimming all the way down, and a gentle warmth some appliances actually need to work. ⚠️ In a salt lamp or a lava lamp it is precisely that heat that creates the effect: an LED with the same cap will leave the device lifeless.

Can I replace it with an LED?

Often yes, provided you find an E14 model of the same size. But in a salt lamp, a lava lamp or an incubator, no: those devices need the filament's heat to work, and an LED leaves them inert.

Clear or frosted glass?

Clear shows the filament: bright light, defined shadows, decorative effect. Frosted diffuses: soft light, no glare. At equal wattage both consume the same — only the appearance changes.

Is it dimmer-compatible?

Yes, without reservation. An incandescent lamp dims from 0 to 100 % with no flicker and no buzz, on any standard dimmer. This is precisely where it remains unbeaten.

Why 235 V and not 230 V?

The filament is rated for 235 volts. On a 230 V supply it runs slightly below its nominal point: the lamp is a little dimmer, but lasts appreciably longer. It is a long-life version.
