It delivers 570 lumens of warm white light at 3,000 K, with CRI 90 — the colour rendering expected in retail, galleries and showrooms, where a fabric or a skin tone must keep its exact hue.
Its 40° beam concentrates 1,150 candela on axis. That intensity, not the lumen figure alone, is what decides the effect: a narrow beam lifts an object off its background, a wide one washes an area. The lamp is dimmable and lasts about 40,000 hours — several times the life of an AR111 halogen, for less than a quarter of the power.
⚠️ The thing to check before buying is the transformer. An AR111 runs at 12 V: if your fitting has an electronic transformer designed for halogen, it usually imposes a minimum load (20 or 35 VA) that these 11 W do not reach — the lamp may then flicker, fail to strike or cycle. On a magnetic transformer it generally runs without trouble. If in doubt, plan for a proper 12 V LED driver.

Will it work on my existing transformer?
That is the first question to settle. Electronic transformers originally fitted for halogen often require a minimum load of 20 to 35 VA: 11 W does not reach it, and the lamp may flicker or fail to start. Magnetic (iron-core) transformers are rarely a problem. The safest route is a dedicated 12 V LED driver.
Which beam angle should I choose?
The 40° of this reference gives 1,150 cd. As a rule: 8° to pick out a single object from height, 24° for classic accent lighting, 40° to cover a zone or a whole display unit. The narrower the beam, the higher the central intensity for the same lumen output.
Is it genuinely dimmable?
Yes. Do check that both the dimmer AND the transformer are LED-compatible: an old dimmer rated for a 50 W halogen load will not dim a 11 W load cleanly.
What does the 930 code mean?
The first digit (9) indicates a CRI of 90 or above — very high colour rendering. The next two give the colour temperature: 930 = 3,000 K (warm white).
