Waterproof IP65 LED strip 12 V, 4.8 W/m: 540 lumens per metre

This Modee 12 V LED strip gives 540 lumens per metre for 4.8 W/m, on a width of 8 mm. It is the right power for mood lighting: cornice, headboard, alcove, underside of a unit. It comes on a 5 m reel.

LED density

With 60 LEDs per metre, this is a mood lighting strip: use it for indirect lighting — cornice, back of a unit, skirting board — where the light points cannot be seen.

What kind of light?

Cool white 6000 K is close to daylight under a clear sky: a bright light that brings out detail, for a frosty, very contemporary look. Its colour rendering index above 90 reproduces colours faithfully: a real plus for a worktop, a shop window, a dressing room or a mirror.

Waterproof version

The silicone sleeve protects it from water and dust (IP65): it suits a bathroom, a kitchen, a covered terrace, a canopy or a refrigerated display cabinet.

Power supply and installation

It runs on 12 V DC from an LED power supply chosen to suit the installed length: 4.8 W per metre, plus a 20% margin. For 5 m, that means 24 W consumed, so a power supply of at least 29 W. It can be cut at the marked points and sticks with its adhesive backing, ideally inside an aluminium profile.
