Waterproof IP65 LED strip 12 V, 9.6 W/m: 1,080 lumens per metre

This Modee 12 V LED strip gives 1,080 lumens per metre for 9.6 W/m, on a width of 8 mm. It is the right power for functional lighting: worktop, dressing room, shop window, shelves. It comes on a 20 m reel.

LED density

With 120 LEDs per metre, the light points are very close together: under a profile with a diffuser, the line of light is perfectly continuous.

What kind of light?

Neutral white 4000 K gives a crisp light, neither yellow nor bluish: the most versatile tone, discreet and true to colours. Its colour rendering index above 90 reproduces colours faithfully: a real plus for a worktop, a shop window, a dressing room or a mirror.

Waterproof version

The silicone sleeve protects it from water and dust (IP65): it suits a bathroom, a kitchen, a covered terrace, a canopy or a refrigerated display cabinet.

Power supply and installation

It runs on 12 V DC from an LED power supply chosen to suit the installed length: 9.6 W per metre, plus a 20% margin. For 5 m, that means 48 W consumed, so a power supply of at least 58 W. The 20 m reel is made to be cut down: beyond 5 m in a single run at 12 V, the voltage drops and the light fades at the end of the strip. So the strip is powered in sections. It can be cut at the marked points and sticks with its adhesive backing, ideally inside an aluminium profile.
