OSRAM LED tubes replace T8 (G13 base) and T5 (G5 base) fluorescent tubes in existing battens. They light up instantly, without flicker, and use about half the energy. Ranges available: SubstiTUBE, LEDTUBE, Value, Superior.
How to choose
- Check the wiring: an EM (or Universal) LED tube works on a magnetic ballast by swapping the starter, an HF tube needs a compatible electronic ballast, a mains (230 V) tube requires removing the ballast.
- Choose the same length as the old tube: 600, 1200 or 1500 mm for T8; 549, 849, 1149 or 1449 mm for T5.
