MASTER is Philips' highest-performing LED range: best efficiency, long life and often dimmable. It includes MASTER LEDspot AR111 spots (G53, 12 V) replacing 50 to 100 W halogen lamps, GU5.3 spots, MASTER LEDtube T8 and T5 tubes (HE, HO), including a version with presence sensor, and the LEDluster candle with adjustable colour.
How to choose
- Check the base and voltage on the old lamp: GU5.3, GU4 and G53 run on 12 V through a transformer, GU10 connects directly to 230 V, even though the spots look alike.
- Check the wiring: an EM (or Universal) LED tube works on a magnetic ballast by swapping the starter, an HF tube needs a compatible electronic ballast, a mains (230 V) tube requires removing the ballast.
