LEDVANCE LED spots and reflectors replace halogen spots without changing the fitting: GU10 at 230 V, GU5.3 (MR16) and AR111 (G53) at 12 V, screw-in R50, R63, R80 and PAR16 to PAR38 reflectors. How to choose

Check the base and voltage on the old lamp: GU5.3, GU4 and G53 run on 12 V through a transformer, GU10 connects directly to 230 V, even though the spots look alike.
Keep the beam angle of the old spot: 10 to 25° to highlight an object, 36° for general lighting, 60° for wide coverage.
Colour: 827 = warm white (2700 K), 840 = neutral white (4000 K), 865 = daylight; a code starting with 9 (927, 940) means a colour rendering of at least 90.
